Volunteers & Committees

Food Donations Are Needed!

Donations of food, drinks, serving and storage items, ice, and so on are needed for the All Night Grad Party. A sign-up sheet will provided as the party date approaches. If you prefer to make a cash donation, visit the Pay & Donate Online page for complete instructions.

Volunteers Are Needed!

Volunteers are needed to help with all aspects of ANG – from the early planning stages to the clean up after the party. Whether it is as a committee member or helping out a few hours the night of the party,
your help will be welcomed and appreciated.

ANG Chair: Laura Medvene

Fundraising – <open>
Oversees fundraising efforts, including Candygrams, Capitol Steps, dinners, raffles, and individual and business donations.

Candy Grams Jenny Podczerviensky
Coordinates the sale of Candygrams at Halloween including scheduling sales, volunteers and purchasing and wrapping of candy. (Subcommittee of Fundraising.)

Dinners Beth Czerwinski
Coordinates fundraising dinners at HUMC and local restaurants. (Subcommittee of Fundraising.)

Raffles Kristen Stevens
Coordinates fundraising raffles (such as reserved seating at graduation, etc.) (Subcommittee of Fundraising.)

Donations -  <open>
Solicits donations from individuals and businesses. (Subcommittee of Fundraising.)

Volunteer Coordinator Beth Czerwinski
Collects completed volunteer forms, and arranges schedule of volunteers. Distributes volunteer names to individual committee chairs (i.e., Security, Food, etc.) for specific assignment and scheduling.

Decorations/set up<open>
Determine the decorations to be used at the event, purchase necessary items and schedule persons to set up and decorate for ANG

Security & Logistics Iain Ronis
Circulates the event, parking lot and emergency exits for the safety of the students, adults and possible outsiders. Works with all of the committees to create master floor plan. Coordinates floor plan with Community Center.  

Activities Kristen Stevens
Arranges for and supervises set-up of all of the activities at ANG. Coordinates with vendor(s) prior to event to determine the location of activities, tables, etc. Works closely with ANG Chair to determine placement, etc.  

Check in/out – <open>
Responsible for checking in students as they arrive at ANG. Students leaving the ANG party prior to 3 AM need to have a parent contacted for permission to leave early. Check-out volunteers will attend to this task.

Coat/Prize RoomJanan Jones
Oversees the room with students’ personal items as well as prizes, etc., students receive over the course of the party (individual bags for each student attending).

Food <open>
Responsible for determining the food/drinks to be served for the event. This group will also solicit donations from the community and parents, as well as set-up/clean-up of the food and organize the volunteers to work the night of the event.

Door Prizes - Janan Jones
Responsible for purchasing the Awesome prize that all graduates get for coming to the event.

Casino Prizes Lisa Goldman and Lisa Chernick
Responsible for purchasing prizes for the event. The Herndon Optimists provide the Casino; we provide the prizes and LOTS of them. If you enjoy shopping, looking for bargains and spending someone else’s money – sign up.

Grand Prizes Diane Sullivan, Jennifer Eaddy
Responsible for purchasing the larger prizes handed out at the end of the event for those graduates staying ALL NIGHT long.

Publicity – <open>
Advertise ANG events through local newspapers and school.

Ticket Sales <open>
Maintains master list of tickets sold; collects and deposits ticket money.

Clean Up <open>
Oversees the final clean-up at the party.

Correspondence Karen McDonald
Mainly responsible for sending thank you letters to all donors.
